Chris Thompson

Chris Thompson, from Bynum, TX, has been working Border Collies for over 40 years. He started out being mentored by his good friend and fellow trainer, Jimmy Walker.

Chris' first dog was Di, an own duaghter out of 1985 International Supreme Champion MacKenzie's Don. She had a natural cast and a fair amount of eye and taught him a lot. His next dog was Tag, an own son of Jimmy Walker's Sam, own son of Pope Robertson's Lash III.

Tag produced several good pups for Chris. he competed successfully with them in both sheep and cattle trials.

Chris enjoys starting and training young dogs. Now that he is retired, he plans to compete in the bigger trials with his young dog, Tick.
