Achievements

Jimmy Walker began going to sheepdog trials in 1983, competing in the Novice Class. After a couple of years of working his way up to the Open in the sheepdog trials, he also started going to cattledog trials as well.

Jimmy has always trained all of his own dogs. His approach is to find dogs possessing the working style that suites him and then training the dog to use that style to it’s advantage.

He believes that not every dog fits every handler so it's important for a handler to decide what it is that they want a dog to do and find a dog that has the potential to do that. Let someone else train the ones that don’t.
