Haley Hunewill continues her informative series on bending a dog for their flanks. Watch this two year old doing more advanced bending work in part two, with Haley demonstrating and describing how:

  • To get a dog stopped first; get the bend second; let the dog go third.
  • She is careful not to work in too small of a pen to avoid the dog learning to follow a fence.
  • During these works she prefers a dog flanking away from her position rather than behind her.
  • When the dog is off and bending well she lets the dog work the sheep for a while for a reward for correct bending.
  • And much more…
