Achievements

  • In 2020 David and his two year old JR Cody won the Southwest Cattledog Association’s Open Finals.
  • David and JR Penny placed third in the NCA 2021 National Nursery Finals in Cheyenne Wyoming.
  • His young dog JR Buck was the 2021 Rodear America Reserved Green Dog Champion in Fort Worth
  • In 2022 Buck was the National Cattledog Association’s Horseback Champion at the NCA finals in Decatur Texas.

David Henry lives in Meadowview, Virginia with his wife Shannon and three children. They have quarter horses, a small herd of purebred Brahman cattle as well as a flock of Katahdin sheep. The dogs started out as a hobby for David 30 years ago. He competed all over the United States in sheep dog trials for about 20 years.

In 2020, David started training dogs full-time and has been fortunate enough to travel across the country meeting new friends while following his passion. David offers custom training for stock dogs on a monthly basis, does private lessons, and stockdog training clinics. He also has puppies, started dogs, and occasional finish dogs for sale.
